2° day
Breakfast at the hotel, meeting with the guide and visit
to the largest archaeological area in the world: the
Colosseum, the Imperial Forums and Mount Palatine
(skip-the-line tickets included). We will trample the
places dating back to the founding of Rome up to the
imperial age. Among the other historical legacies of the
route: the Arch of Constantine, the Arch of Titus, the
Capanne Rotulee, the House of Livia, the House of
Augustus, the Cryptoporticus of Nero and the Palace of
Domitian.
Free time for lunch, afternoon at disposal for individual
visit.
Optional: Visit of Borghese Gallery
A tour that will leave us amazed, between classical
antiquities and works by the most important
Renaissance artists. It can be considered unique in the
world as regards to the number and importance of
Bernini’s sculptures and Caravaggio’s canvases.

3° day
Breakfast at the hotel, meeting with the guide a guided
tour of the city center. We will move to the heart of the
historic center with a visit to Piazza di Spagna and the
Trevi Fountain, Piazza Colonna and the palaces of Italian
political power. Next to the square we find Via Condotti,
symbol of the fashion discrict in Rome. From here, we’ll
go to the Trevi Fountain, unforgettable location of “La
Dolce Vita” by Fellini, in wich a very young Anita Ekberg
invites Marcello Mastroianni into the fountain, using the
famous: “Marcello, come here!”. After a short stop,
we’ll visit to Piazza della Rotonda to admire the
Pantheon, a temple built in 27 BC. later converted into
a Basilica, and the Renaissence fountain of Bernini built
in the square in 1575.
Free time for lunch, afternoon at disposal for individual

The Vatican Museums are one of the symbol of Rome,
where various works are collected, that span from
ancient to contemporaty times. Sarcophagi and mosaics
share the space with masterpieces by great masters
such as Giotto, Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci,
Raphael up to Dalì, Canova and Matisse. The tour ends
in the Sistine Chapel where it is possible to admire the
famous frescoes of the representation of the Last
Judgment. Included entrance and English-speaking

OPTIONAL: EXTENSION TO THE ROMAN CASTLES

Breakfast, check-out and transfer to Frascati.
Meet with the guide and start of tour. We will stroll
through the streets of one of the most renowned
municipalities of the Roman Castles, famous for the
various Tuscolan villas, once home to illustrious
patrician families. The town is also known for the
cathedral of St. Peter in neo-Renaissance baroque style
and the church of Jesus built in the eighteenth century
by the genius of Carlo Fontana.
In the late morning we will move to a local restaurant.
With a visit the old farmhouse surrounded by nature,
vineyards and olive groves. In this area vines have been
cultivated since Roman times, it is possible to visit
ancient caves where wine has been aged for millennia.
We will talk about the techniques of working the vine
and the winemaking processes. Time to taste the
famous Frascati wine and llunch will be served,
consisting of an appetizer and a first course of the
Roman tradition. At the end of the visit, transfer to the
4* star hotel in the central city. Afternoon at leisure,

Breakfast, meet the guide for another day of guided
tour.
We will move to Castel Gandolfo, a delightful town
overlooking Lake Albano, one of the most beautiful
villages in Italy, known for the presence of the Papal
Palace, the pope’s summer residence.
Visit of the ancient city center with the Apostolic Palace,
the Pontifical Villas and the beautiful gardens. A journey
that will tell us the history of the papacy from the
seventeenth century to the Lateran Pacts, from the stay
of John Paul II and Benedict XVI to the transformation
into a museum by Pope Francis. This will be followed by
a walk in the manicured gardens of the Parco delle Ville
Pontificie with the remains of the ancient Roman villa.
At the end of the tour, continue to Nemi. Visit the
ancient village of Nemi, the smallest town among the
Roman Castles dating back to Roman times. Colorful,
surrounded by nature and with a unique view of the lake
of the same name, it offers noteworthy landscape
views.
